Update January 29th 11am (GMT): The sales reports have now successfully been loaded and should appear in all artist accounts today.
At Spinnup we are fully aware that our artists rely on the royalties they earn from distributing their music. Each and every cent you make through your passion and creativity is rightfully yours, which is why we pay our artists 100% of what they earn.
Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing an unusual delay with the January sales reports and we would like to address this issue head-on.
When an artist releases music, we pay their royalties 45 days from the end of the month those sales and streams took place in. So for example, if you released a project on the 5th of April you would receive your first sales report for the release in mid-June, as that is approximately 45 days from the end of April. While we can’t always give an exact date, these normally land in your artist account between the 15th-20th of each month.
As the distribution platform, we depend on the stores to provide these sales reports, and as soon as they are supplied we upload these reports directly into your account.
Sadly, there was a long delay in receiving the initial reports from the stores this month, and although these have now been received the loading of the files is taking longer than expected.
Due to the sensitive nature and care we take with your sales, our technical team are working hard to ensure that these sales are provided as safely and as quickly as possible.
We are extremely sorry for the continued delay and we appreciate the stress this delay is causing. Please know that we’re working hard on getting your royalties to you as soon as we can.
