Spinnup Showcase @ Kåken, Stockholm – Marcus Alexander & Fristaden

Hi, Isabella (the Spinnup Sweden intern) here again! I wanted to write and let you guys know more about how the showcase went last week!

The Spinnup Stockholm showcase was held at Kåken, a small club inside of a restaurant, which opens out to a roof-top terrace with a small stage. This is a well-known showcase venue in Stockholm, and the perfect place for our event! We were really lucky with the weather, it was a warm evening and a beautiful sunset – no snow for once!

I arrived to the showcase venue with the artists at 17:00 to prepare, pack the goodie bags and for the artists to soundcheck. After soundcheck the restaurant arranged a delicious dinner for the artists, and before we knew it, it was time for the showcase to start!

When the audience arrived (we had about 60 people come through the door) they were given a special goodie bag and a cocktail ice cream from N1CE Company at the door. The goodie bag included lots of treats from Propercorn and Fazer, also key rings from Carlobolaget-company, and a usb loaded with music from the performing acts. This turned out to be very appreciated and the vibe was really good!

At 21:00 the showcase kicked off with acoustic singer-songwriter Marcus Alexander performing a few of his original songs. Among them was his latest releaseSupernova”.

After his amazing performance we took a small break before it was Fristadens turn to enter the stage. They gave the audience an energetic and professional performance, spreading lots of love to the crowd with their new release Happy Pride. This will be the official Pride-song for the pride festival in Nyköping (where the band is based). With so much talent on stage, special goodie bag treats, a lively crowd, and a great vibe, the evening was a huge success!

Thanks to Marcus Alexander and Fristaden for doing such a great performance!
