We are incredibly proud to premiere the visual for Spinnup Superstar Georgia Meek and her newest video for ‘When You’re Sober‘. The Singer-Songwriter, Producer & Multi-Instrumentalist started her musical journey with a string of successes in various bands, garnering support from the likes of Huw Stephens, Shell Zenner & BBC Introducing. However in 2017, Georgia took the step to launch her solo project. Last year, she rapidly made an impact with fans and the industry alike. Her critically acclaimed single ‘Bare’ clocked over 18,000 streams overnight, before rising to 350,000 listens since then. She’s been featured by the likes of Clash Magazine, Stylist Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, Missguided and plenty more.
This year, she has once again caught the attention of British music fans with her new EP, Pop Culture, after her tracks were featured in some of the most anticipated moments on ITV2’s Love Island. Following the viral success of the single’s release to stores, with the help of a debut on ITV2’s Love Island this summer as well as high volume coverage across international press, playlists and music blogs, we can exclusively premiere the official music video for Georgia Meek ‘When You’re Sober’ on VEVO today.
Shot within the confines of South London’s legendary SLV Studios, the visual stays on theme with Georgia’s dark and twisted take on an injection of contemporary pop. Director Alexander Cullen cut his teeth photographing the young songstress at concerts and she has rightfully referred to him in the press as her ‘very own Pixie Levinson’.
