STEP 1: GET VERIFIED ON MUSIXMATCH
If you’ve never heard of it, MusixMatch is the world’s biggest catalogue of song lyrics and translations. Available on desktop and as a mobile app, it provides artists and fans with a free and easy way to add lyrics to tracks.
To get your lyrics on Spotify, you need to get verified on MusixMatch. Head to the website, complete this form and add your Spotify for Artists and Apple Music links.
It can take up to a week for Musixmatch to verify your artist account and they will drop you an email once it is done.
STEP 2: ADD YOUR LYRICS ON MUSIXMATCH
Login to your verified artist account (you can do this on desktop or via the Musixmatch app) and transcribe the lyrics for your chosen track.
Ensure you type the correct words as you hear them in your song and do not copy and paste them from other places. If the formatting is incorrect then your lyrics will not be synced correctly!
STEP 3: DOWNLOAD THE APP AND CONNECT IT TO SPOTIFY
Download the MusixMatch mobile app from the app store. Once you’re logged in, search for the track which you want to sync (the one you just transcribed) and check that your lyrics are appearing correctly.
STEP 4: SYNC YOUR LYRICS
This is the fun bit! Click play on your chosen track and then ‘sync lyrics’. As you hear each line of your song, scroll down so the lyrics are in time with the music.

STEP 5: REPEAT FOR ALL YOUR TRACKS
Ok so we admit, the fun might wear off a bit if you have a couple of albums to get through, but its worth it, trust us!
